At Purple Tooth Dental
Purple Tooth Pediatric Dentistry & Braces opened in Mt Holly, NC in October 2021 with a straightforward mission: build a dental office where children feel safe, have fun, and leave wanting to come back. Four years later, we’re seeing more than 120 new patients each month — almost all of them referred by families who couldn’t stop talking about us.
We’re not a dental chain. We’re not a franchise. Purple Tooth is a locally owned, community-rooted practice founded by Dr. Jon Kacz, a DMD with advanced training in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and tongue tie treatment. Every decision we make — from the way we talk to kids during appointments to the seasonal displays in our front entrance — is designed around one family at a time.
Walk into most dental offices and you’ll find beige walls and a waiting room with magazines. Walk into Purple Tooth and you might find a themed installation that kids crawl through, or a display that parents photograph and post before they’ve even checked in. We do that on purpose.
But the in-office experience is only part of it. What actually keeps families driving past other dental offices to come to us is how we treat their kids:
At Purple Tooth, Dr. Kacz provides:
We’re in-network with Delta Dental and accept Medicaid. 0% financing is available for orthodontic treatment.

Purple Tooth yard signs can be spotted near interstates throughout Gaston County — placed by families who want their neighbors to know where they take their kids.
